You've got a great week planned. I smiled at your red beans and rice on Monday. That's what was always on the menu on Monday in Louisiana, because it was wash day and the beans and rice could simmer on the stove while the laundry was being done.

Red beans and rice on Mondays in the fall is a Louisiana tradition that we have carried over. Usually I work at home on Mondays, but this week I have meetings all day long so am planning to make the beans on Sunday. Good thing they taste even better the next day!
